What's the word? Thunderbird!
I've been playing around with Mozilla's (The people that bring you Firefox.) Thunderbird. I had tried using it a number of years ago and found it wanting but I recently had an excuse to try it again and it's much better. More over if you use Gmail setting up the account is almost fire and forget.
So I'm kinda digging on it already only it doesn't have a calender which i wanted...only it DOES have a calender and it can be set up to allow access to your Google Calender from with in Thunderbird.
All of a sudden this thing ROCKS. If you are interested in trying it just:
Download Thunderbird
Download the Add On called Lightning
Download the Add On called Provider for Google Calender
and then follow the instructions found here.
It may take you a little bit to figure it all out but once you do it's REALLY EASY!
And FREE! Did I mention that everything involved is free of charge?
Cool enough?
